  • Service providers acting on our instructions: Shopify (e-commerce platform and hosting), payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal and others shown at checkout), our fulfilment warehouses in the Netherlands, the United States and Asia, carriers, our email and SMS marketing platform, customer-service tools, and accounting and tax software.

5. International Transfers

Because we operate from the Netherlands and the United States, your data may be transferred between the EU/EEA, the UK and the U.S. Where personal data of EU/EEA or UK residents is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where relevant), the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework for certified recipients, or other lawful safeguards.

6. How Long We Keep It

We keep order, invoice and payment records for as long as required by tax and accounting law (7 years in the Netherlands; generally 4–7 years in the U.S.). Customer-service communications are kept for 3 years after the last contact. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent or after 3 years of inactivity. Technical logs are kept for up to 12 months. We then delete or anonymise the data.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to run the Website and checkout, and, with your consent, analytics cookies (for example Google Analytics) and marketing pixels (for example Meta Pixel) to measure and improve our advertising. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the cookie banner and change your choice at any time via the cookie settings link in the Website footer or your browser settings.

8. Your Rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

If you are a resident of a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law (including California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado and others), you may, to the extent that law applies to us, have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of your data, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal data; you can opt out of targeted advertising via the cookie settings link in the footer.

To exercise any right, email info@goldengrip.com. We may ask you to verify your identity. We respond within one month (EU/UK) or 45 days (U.S.), extendable where the law allows.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption of all traffic to the Website, PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing by our payment providers, and access controls limiting who within Golden Grip can see customer data. No system is completely secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where legally required.

10. Third-Party Links

The Website may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please read their policies.
