Armwrestling Equipment Built for Results

Armwrestling is all about getting very specific kinds of strength: pronation, cupping, rising, backpressure, etc. You’ll need these to control your opponent’s hand and ultimately pin his hand on the pad. Generic gym training only gets you so far. Golden Grip's arm wrestling collection is built around getting strong specifically for armwrestling.

Why Sport-Specific Training Matters

A strong grip and big biceps will help you in armwrestling, but as soon as you’ll meet an experienced armwrestler this ‘gym-bro’ strength will stop working. Rather, you’ll need to work on specific strengths in your wrists, and develop them in proportion your biceps, triceps, and overall upper body strength. Matches are won on wrist strength, explosiveness, leverage and technique, not by who has the biggest biceps.

Our armwrestling handles target the hooking, toprolling, and pressing positions general grip tools never touch and angles nobody trains in a regular gym session.

Building a Complete Armwrestling Setup

First of all, you’ll need some training handles. Dumbbells only go so far, so investing in some proper armwrestling handles will be a good idea. Then, a table or pulley system lets you practice the actual pulling. If you truly want to get serious with armwrestling, there’s no way around to getting this as part of your setup. If you’re ready to go all the way and skyrocket your armwrestling results, we’ve recording a full video-course on how to get good at armwrestling!

Training the Way You'll Actually Compete

Most matches come down to whoever controls the wrist angle first. You must train for that, not just raw strength.

FAQ

Depending on your budget, start with just some armwrestling training handles on a gym pulley, and upgrade to a table + pulley system if you want to truly get serious and are willing to make this investment.

Yes. Armwrestling training with a pulley will get you brutally strong too, although we do recommend to also add in some table practice so you can work on your technique.

Arm wrestling leans on wrist strength, finger strength, side pressure, and back pressure, which are rarely trained with any conventional gym lift.

Most injuries happen at the upper arm, elbow, or wrist, and are usually a result of not warming up properly  or using bad technique. Warming up and learning technique will help you to prevent injuries.
